Fish (Seer, Pomfret or Salmon) - 1/2 kg
Onions - 2, medium size
Ginger - 2 cm
Garlic - 6 flakes
Green chillies - 6
Coconut - 1
Coconut oil - 2 Tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Lime - 1
Cut the fish into slices and wash well.
Slice onion, chop ginger and garlic. Slit green chillies.
Grind the coconut with a little water and extract 1 cup 1 st milk and 1 cup 2 nd milk. 4.Heat oil in a pan and add onion, ginger and garlic. When onion is light brown, add green chillies, fish, turmeric and salt. Add the 2nd extract of coconut milk, cover and simmer till the fish is cooked.
Add the 1st coconut milk . When it just begins to boil, remove from fire.
Stir in the lime juice and serve hot.
Note : Packaged coconut milk or coconut cream may be used instead of extracting fresh coconut milk. Thin down ½ cup of it with water to use in place of 2nd extract
