10-12 idlis
oil to fry
for mexican bean fry and pepper dip;
2tbsp olive oil
2tbsp garlic
1 small onion
2 tomato chopped
1/2 cup tomato puree
1tbsp mixed herbs
1tbsp paprika flakes
baked beans in tomato sauce
10-12 sliced olives
1 capsicum chopped
1tbsp garam masala powder
Heat oil and deep fry the idilis until nicely browned and crisp. remove and keep aside.To prepare mexican salsa with pepper and beans, heat oil in a pan,saute the garlic and onion,add in the tomatoes and the pouree,add in the herbs,paprika,salt and pepper and the olives and capsicum and simmer for 3-4 minutes.Add in the baked beans in tomato sauce and the garam masla powder and mix well,remove and serve hot over the fried idlis and garnish with olives.
