Gulab Jamun

-50 gm paneer
-2 cup canola oil/ rapeseed oil
-500 ml boiling water
-1 slice lemon
-2 cup powdered sugar
-1 1/2 teaspoon powdered green cardamom
-150 gm mashed khoya
-2 tablespoon ghee
-4 strand saffron
-30 gm all purpose flour
-2 tablespoon corn flour
-1/4 teaspoon baking powder


- For an easy Gulab Jamun recipe, start by mixing sugar, water, and a slice of lemon in a pot. Stir the sugar syrup until it thickens to a two-string consistency. Turn off the heat and let it cool to room temperature.

- Use a wide tray and combine equal amounts of paneer and khoa. Mash them together using a masher and add saffron strands for extra flavor. Ensure the mixture is smooth without any lumps. Next, mix all-purpose flour, cardamom powder, cornflour, and baking powder into the khoya-paneer mixture. To enhance the flavor of the gulab jamun, add some ghee for a delightful aroma and authentic taste.

- Now, grease your palms with ghee and take some dough to form small balls. Meanwhile, heat oil in a kadhai over medium flame for frying. Once the oil is hot, gently place the balls in it and let them cook. Wait until the balls become a golden brown color.

- Take out the balls and remove the excess oil, then gently leave the gulab jamun balls in the sugar syrup. Let the Gulab Jamuns absorb the syrup. After half an hour, extract them and place them in a bowl and gently pour some sugar syrup.

- Finally, top the gulab jamuns with finely chopped pistachios. Serve these delightful treats after a hearty meal, and we're confident your guests will commend your cooking expertise.
