Lyrics from Daddy, dont know the author but the song has so striking lyrics that I cant help simply comparing any stage of my life with it. The song highlights the day-to-day race everybody is waging forgetting the joy of living, and denounces the mad rush at earthly pleasures. The first two lines themselves (mentioned above) speak volumes of the song, which say that the mirror(aayina) is asking the proof of me being my own self and bemoaning where I have left my earlier self. The song makes it a point that as long as you forget the joy of being your own self, despite acheiving everything you will have nothing.
